Sandy Point State Park

After a day in the fast paced city, relax at Sandy Point State Park located just outside of Maryland’s state capital, Annapolis. Sandy Point’s beaches overlook the Chesapeake Bay and the famous Chesapeake Bay Bridge. There will be plenty of chances for wading in the water, playing Frisbee, and exploring the park.

A trip to Maryland wouldn’t be complete without picking blue crabs! Thompson’s Seafood will be providing a feast of this Maryland delicacy, and there will be volunteers available to teach how to pick blue crabs like a local.  Also on the menu is snakehead- a fish that is a notorious invader in Maryland rivers. And for the non-seafood lovers, there will be hotdogs and hamburgers.
